Overview

Join a fast-growing pre-seed fintech startup as a Data Scientist specializing in Google Cloud-based application development. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and integrating cloud-native fintech solutions, working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based fintech applications, primarily using Google Cloud Protocols (APIs, services).
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable big data solutions using BigQuery and other GCP services.
  • Build robust data pipelines and ETL processes, integrating real-time and batch data flows.
  • Develop APIs and backend logic in Python and R for data analysis, ML models, and reporting.
  • Integrate backend services with user-facing applications built in React JS and WordPress.
  • Design and manage relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.

Education & Experience

Degree: BS/MS/PhD in CS, Data Science, Stats, or related engineering discipline.

Exp: 2–5 years specializing in cloud development and analytics systems.

Cloud & Technical Stack

Languages: High expertise in Python and R.

Cloud: GCP (BigQuery, Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM).

Database: Hands-on PostgreSQL query tuning and migration.

About the Role

You will be building our MVP and shaping the company's technical DNA. If you are passionate about clean UI, exceptional UX, and building beautiful, performant web interfaces, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Translate business requirements and design mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive, and performant web experiences.
  • Build and optimize our React.js-based application, ensuring seamless integration with REST & GraphQL APIs.
  • Create and maintain a WordPress-powered marketing and content platform with custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
  • Implement design systems, reusable components, and scalable front-end architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to iterate on features quickly.
  • Own the end-to-end user experience from landing pages to in-app flows.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years of professional front-end experience.
  • Proficiency in React.js, Next.js, ES6+, and CSS3/Tailwind.
  • Strong WordPress theme and plugin customization experience.
  • Responsive layouts and cross-browser performance tuning.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • TypeScript and type-safe front-end architecture.
  • Familiarity with Figma translation workflows.
  • Headless WordPress integration setups.
  • Basic knowledge of financial products or chart libraries.
